Stretching Nymo is a Snap

And Easier On Your Fingers If You Use This Great Tip!

by Paula S. Morgan
for About.com

Stretching Nymo is a snap (and easier on your fingers) if you wrap it around two small, pencil-sized dowels. Dowels work best for this, as the surface is slightly rough so the Nymo can grasp the surface a bit, so it won't slip off while you're stretching.

Stretch about 12 inches at a time by wrapping the Nymo around the dowel, then holding it in place with your thumbs. Give the dowels a couple of smooth tugs away from each other, then move the thread along to the next section. Pretty soon, you'll have pre-stretched your entire length of Nymo and can begin work on your beading.
