Connect the Side Points

Choose a point to start with and weave your thread over so that it is coming out of that bead. With your sandwich in hand, eyeball the space between it and the corresponding bead on the other piece. Decide how many beads (end to end, not hole to hole) you think it will take to bridge the gap. Draw a line on the rock between the two points that you intend to connect. A crayon would work well for this. Put the rock down for now and add the number of beads you think you'll need in the following manner. Pick up a bead, go through the back of the point bead and through the new bead again. Pick up another bead go through the back of the second bead, through the new bead and so on. Connect the line of beads to the point bead on the other side in the same manner. Then weave your thread to the next point.
