Step Three - Connect the Central Motif Pieces over the Rock

Choose the Connection Set of Beads

Choose the Connection Point for the Side Beads

Now we are going to connect the two pieces together. Hold the rock in your hand sandwiched between the two peyote pieces. Line the pieces up so that the design is aligned on each side. When using a six bead base, there are six points of connection, these points need to be lined up with each other. There are two different sets of points to choose from. Choose to connect either the beads directly above the increases, or the beads at the end of the straight lines that radiate out from the second row. Choose the set that is most prominent depending on what row you were on when you stopped adding to your piece. Only use the beads above the increases if you stopped at the row following an increase as shown here.
