If you are planning on selling your work online or submitting your work to juried shows and galleries, getting the best quality images of your work is very important. Out of focus or underlit photographs are not going to get your work noticed, no matter how good the beadwork.
A good way to get to know your camera is to use it to take pictures of things other than your beadwork until you feel comfortable with all the features and functions.
For this series, I am going to focus on digital cameras only. The two main types of digital cameras are point and shoot and SLR or DSLR cameras.
