A needle case is used to store your beading needles when you are not using them and prevent them from spilling when you take your beading with you.
What is it made of?
Needle cases are usually made of wood, but can be found made out of plastic or metal.
What does it look like?
The most common wooden needle cases are small cylinders that have a tight-fitting cap. They range in size from 2 to 4 inches long. Other types of needle cases can be made from matchboxes, magnets and fabric. Like most other tools in beadweaving, needle cases are a matter of personal choice.
How do I use it?
To open a wooden needle case, simply twist the cap until it comes off, insert or remove your needles, and replace the cap. (You can also embellish this type of needle case by stitching peyote or brick stitch around it.) To use a matchbox, slide open the matchbook, remove or insert your needles, and slide it closed.
