You can use loop picots to embellish the edges of horizontal beaded netting.
- Start by picking up (or passing through) the bead that will become the base of the picot (1A in the chart above).
- Pick up of all of the beads for your picot (3C in the chart). Three beads are the most common.
- Finally, pass through the base bead again, and pull the thread gently taut.
Loop picots differ from turning picots: with the latter, you pass back through the base bead.
Tip: To keep loop picots from folding over, use gentle tension and avoid splitting the thread with your needle.
