Using the Gem-Tac glue and your bead backing, glue the antique typewriter key to the bead backing fabric and allow the glue to dry. Wipe off any glue that overflows around the typewriter key so that you will be able to stitch beads close to base of the key.

Once the glue has dried (usually overnight), begin stitching the Czech size 11/0 transparent amber AB seed beads around the base of the typewriter key, using back stitch and three beads at a time. Be sure you end up with an even number of beads surrounding the base of the typewriter key; this will require one set of either two or five beads, rather than the sets of three bead per backstitch set.
