Make Your Own Felted Wool and Jet Bead Necklace

Next, flip the Felted Wool and Jet Beaded Necklace over and repeat Step Six above with the French Wire and the Twisted Tornado crimp tube. A properly placed French wire, clasp and Twisted Tornado Crimp tube should look like the one shown in the image below.

But, before you crimp this side, take a good look at the tension on the beading wire. Normally, good, tight tension is a must - no one wants gaps in the beading wire when they finish a beaded necklace.

However, that is not the case with the felted Wool and Jet Beaded necklace. If you place the normal amount of tension on this necklace, you will run the risk of flattening out your felted wool beads, making the more susceptible to wear and to catching. Plus, the added tension may cause the silver spacers to scratch or chip the Jet beads they are next to, as jet is a very soft material. So leave a fair bit of slack in your beading wire when crimping this necklace. If you can actually see a bit of slack when you hold the necklace up by the clasp, that's good!

Wear you new Felted Wool and Beaded Necklace the next time you go out and I bet you'll get many comments and inquiries, and may possibly even sell it of your neck! That's what happened with mine!
