I was especially inspired by these two different shades of blue that were in the bag of samples I received, and kept them out on my beading table for a long time, waiting for the right idea to hit me.
The jet, to me, anyway, seemed a perfect companion for woolen beads, and I just happened to have this incredible Carved Jet Bead from Fire Mountain Gems and Beads, along with the Smooth Jet beads 12 mm and I had the turquoise and hammered silver rondelles on hand. However, Fire Mountain carries a slightly "cleaner" cut, a rounded Turquoise Rondelle and a spacer like these from Artbeads.com would look great. Or, if you already have some 7mm flat spacers, even the little Daisy Spacers that are so popular, use them. The ones used in the necklace pictured are some I had on hand, and, of course, I cannot recall where they came from. So, here are the quantities of the beads, and the other items you'll need:
- 1 - Carved Oval Jet Bead 30mm x 20mm
- 10 - Jet beads, round, 12mm
- 2 - Jet beads, round, 10mm
- 2 - Jet beads, round, 8mm

- 24 - Turquoise Rondelles 8mm
- 28 - Flat, smooth sterling silver rondelles, 6mm
- 1 - Sterling silver fishhook clasp, or clasp of your choice
- 1 - Yard (36 inches) Soft-Flex Beading Wire
