Make Your Own Felted Wool and Jet Bead Necklace

The design for this fun Felted Wool and Jet Beaded Necklace came to me as I was putting away supplies and happened to set the jet beads down next to the wool beads. Something about the combination - jet from the peat bogs, and wool from the same area in England and Ireland made me want to work these two very different substances together into one necklace. I like the uneven feel of the silver spacers and the turquoise, and the complete juxtaposition of the fine carving on the main focal beads. it give the piece a great duality between the rough, almost tribal effect of the wool, turquoise and silver, mixed with the smooth precision of the jet. It's become one of my favorite beaded necklaces and I hope you'll enjoy it, too.
