New Year's Eve Bead Pattern Collection

And the How-To's For Each Project

By Paula S. Morgan, About.com

These are some great beading projects that would make perfect wearables for New Year's Eve.

Wear a basic black, button-front blouse and add a few Beaded Button Covers in bright jewel-tone colors for a very festive look. You'll need Flat Round Peyote stitch to make these button covers. Big plus - they are removable so you can wear them with other outfits, too.

Wisteria Earrings Yes, they are a springtime flower, but make them using matte black seed beads in place of the green beads and bright 24K gold or silver-lined gold seed beads in place of the purple beads. A knowledge of basic Fringe Making will help you make these Wisteria earrings.

Wearing a crown, tiara or even a Beaded Headdress is traditional on New Year's Eve, and this bead pattern is just perfect. Bead it using Flat Netting technique and trim it with Basic Fringe for a fun way to wear your beads this New Year's Eve!

Show off a few beads from your beautiful bead collection with this Sleek and Sophisticated Wrapped Loops Necklace with help from this tutorial on making Wrapped Loops.

Ring in the New Year with this stunning Finger Corsage Beaded Ring, designed by Margo Field. Make the band using Flat Even Count Peyote Stitch and embellishment it with Beaded Fringe. It's a party - make one for each hand!

Finally, if you'll be spending the evening indoors, a great way to show off your beading is with these seriously sparkly Beaded Beach Shoes or, if you'd rather go barefootin' during the festivities, try some Jewelry For Your Feet, otherwise known as Barefoot Sandals. Make them with a variation on Flat Netting. The Beaded Beach Shoes require a pair of rubber flip-flops to be sacrificed for the soles. These fabulous foot fashions bead up very quickly and will add a nice touch of sparkle to any outfit.

Enjoy these quick New Year's eve Patterns and have a safe and happy celebration!
