Other Group Beading Ideas

There are more things you can do together as a group of beaders. If you are all pretty new to beading, why not establish a "learning group" and use the weekly Free E-Mail Beading Lessons from this site?
  • Bead a new pattern each week
  • Have each member purchase an agreed-upon bead kit to work each week. Compare the extra touches other members give to the beading.
  • Choose a pattern that each of you will follow but will make in a different color or slightly different bead than what is called for in the original. Compare finished items after a set number of weeks.
  • Bead for charity: Make beaded items to sell or to offer as fundraising items for a predetermined cause.
  • Bead swap items. Decide on a pattern and have each member of the group bead one, using any extra beads they choose, up to a determined price point. Try to keep the value of each piece close to even. After the items are completed, do a "blind swap" between the members of your group.
I bet you can think of many more fun ways to bead together as a group.
