Adding the stick pearls and girly pink beads to these primitive-looking beads by Mary Harding creates a charming visual interest to these strong ceramic beads.

I love these rough, primitive-looking ceramic beads by Mary Harding of Mary Harding Jewelry. On first glance, I thought about creating a powerful necklace or bracelet, probably suited for a man, using the ceramic beads and some red-brown glass spacer beads, with perhaps a touch of bronze. I was drawn to the powerful looking bronze metallized ceramic beads from The Mykonos, with their wonderful deep chocolate patina already building, and the brown-red lampwork spacers shown in the image, made by Dave at River Oaks Acres Beads. And while that was a satisfactorily many looking bracelet, with beads to spare, I felt a little silliness come over me and wanted to create something equally girly with these very manly beads. The addition of these highly-coveted (well, coveted by lampwork bead collectors, anyway) shade of Streaky Pink Bead Glass lampwork spacer beads made by Serena's Beadery along with the beautiful and lustrous stick pearls from Fire Mountain Gems and Beads made a much more satisfying statement, or I think they did, anyway. I have not yet strung this up into a permanent piece of beadwork, and if I can get more of the brown ceramic beads from Mary Harding, will create a "His and Hers" set using each type of bead.
