New Year's Beading Tradition

Scedule the Time to Start Beading
Plan some time, at least an hour, to get your new beading project underway. Have all the beading supplies and beads you'll need in one spot or in a bag or basket so that you can sit down and begin beading. If you will need a particular tutorial or book, be sure to have it nearby and ready to use. Mark the place in the book or have instructions from the Internet printed out for reference. It's a good idea to go through the list of beading supplies and beads you need to get started a few days before you begin so that you may make any last minute purchases ahead of time. Also, if you know you have some of the beads or supplies on hand but that they are "buried" take a few minutes to dig them out and look them over. It's no fun to get started on a big new project only to discover that the thread is the wrong color or that your clippers are too dull or the wire jig you need is missing the pegs. Look over your supplies and tools beforehand to avoid these setbacks.
