This is one of the books that started the current beading craze as we know it! Sigrid Wynne-Evans is one of the most prolific beading designers out there, consistently publishing fantastic beading books on a variety of beading techniques. The bead patterns in this book are worth the price alone, but Sig's tutorials on the techniques used to make these beaded earrings is excellent.

The book opens with general beading information regarding thread, needles, beads and colors, and goes into a good primer on the bead business. Next comes the tutorial on beading with Brick Stitch along with some historical background on this beading stitch. The bead graphs in the tutorial are drawn well and are easy to read. This book also includes the tutorial and patterns for the beaded fringe on each earring design and finishing techniques are also covered.

The there are the bead patterns themselves. This book is an early work of Sig's and shows all of her promise as a bead designer and bead artist. Standout designs are the Eagle, the Rockhopper (so cute!!) the Turtle, the Peony, the Tiger, the In & Out, the Japanese Crane and the Eye of Horus. This charming book of beaded earring patterns will keep you busy beading for a long time!
