The Mykonos
These stunning and very practical Metallized Ceramic Beads in a variety of shapes, sizes and metal colors are available from The Mykonos.

Metal Bead Accents with Texture and Shape

metal; 24K gold, pure silver, rich bronze, or pure copper. Some beads are left "as is" after firing. Some bronze beads are given the rich patina of many years, some copper beads are treated to the correct color and texture of verdigris that forms on exposed copper. The antique silver beads carry the depth and range of shades found only on silver left untouched for many years; the blues, green, grays, all the way to the slight red, orange, purple, and even magenta that can be seen on very old silver. Finally, the antiques gold is never overdone, with that "dipped in shoepolish" look. It is simply given a richer shading, a hint of darkening, a removal of the brilliant shine and that singular deepening that gold acquired when worn by the same person for many years. These gorgeous metallized beads from The Mykonos are absolutely beautiful. Ceramic beads are dipped in copper, fired, then finished in 24K gold, fine silver or pure copper. Beautiful and bright, these beads can easily take the place of regular metal beads in your beading designs. Available colors are bright gold, silver and copper, antiqued silver, green patina over copper and a beautiful, patinaed bronze. Sampler sets are sized large with beads ranging in sizes 15-25mm for focal beads and 12-16mm for spacer beads up to 35mm pendants. The beads in the small size sampler range from 6-12mm with holes at least 2mm in size, making them perfect for most stringing design work as well as large piece worked on leather cord.

Organic in Shape, Perfect in Sizing, Stunning Colors, Too

The bead shapes include a variety of geometric and organic shapes that you would expect to find in ceramics. The beads sizing is excellent, making them very useable in designs. The beads have a subtle surface texture due to their ceramic origins, making them even more interesting than a plain, metal bead counterpart.

The Mykonos carries ceramic beads in a wide variety of colors and finishes including Raku, Matte Ceramic and a gorgeous, glossy enamel, which could easily cover just about all of your bead needs.
