2. Peyote Stitch Circle

Jennifer VanBenschoten
On a 5' piece of thread, pick up 34 Delica beads.

Following Steps 2 - 7 of this peyote toggle tutorial, make a peyote stitch clasp. Use the purple size 15 beads for the last row of the circle.

Make sure that you weave in the tail before continuing to add the twisted strands to the circle.

3. Add the Strand of Pearls

Jennifer VanBenschoten
Weave through the circle so that you are exiting on the side of the circle.

Pick up approximately 5 or 6 inches of the 2mm pearls. Pass through the last pearl again and slide it down against the strand to secure it. This will make it easier to keep your tension when wrapping the pearls around the circle.

Wrap the strand of pearls around the circle five or six times, until you are pleased with the look. If you have extra beads, remove them from the thread but make sure that there are no gaps in the pearls.

Pass through the first few pearls again and pull snugly.

4. Secure the Pearls to the Circle

Jennifer VanBenschoten
Pass needle through the pearls until you come to the top of the circle. With your thread exiting from a pearl on the top center of the circle, pass through the nearest Delica bead in the circle and pull snugly.

Weave through 3 or 4 more Delica beads, and stitch through a pearl on the top center of the circle.

Repeat around the circle until you have secured each wrap of pearls to the circle.

After you have secured all the wraps of pearls, weave through the circle so that you are exiting next to the place where you started the pearl wrap.

5. Add a Strand of Silver Beads

Jennifer VanBenschoten

String approximately 5 or 6 inches of metallic silver seed beads. Pass through the last seed bead strung again to secure it.

Wrap the silver seed beads around the peyote circle so that the strand rests against the strand of pearls. It is not necessary to secure the strand of metallic silver seed beads to the circle.

If there are extra seed beads, remove them carefully. Make sure there are no gaps in the strand.

Pass needle through the first few seed beads strung, and continue through the strand of seed beads until you are at the top of the peyote stitch circle.

Stitch through the Delicas in the peyote circle until you exit a Delica bead that is near the center between two sets of beaded wraps.

6. Add the Ear Wire

Jennifer VanBenschoten
Pick up 4 metallic silver seed beads, one ear wire, and 4 metallic silver seed beads.

Pass through the Delica bead in the peyote circle again and pull to form a loop. Repeat the thread path two or three times to strengthen and secure.

7. Make the Other Earring
