2. Getting Started
Using a five foot length of Nymo, pick up 10 size 11 seed beads. Tie them into a circle using a square knot.
3. Add the Top Part of the Earring
Pick up another size 11, a 12mm fire polished bead, and an 8x4mm fire polished roundelle.
4. Pick Up the Beads for the First Loop of Fringe
Pick up:
- 8 size 15 beads
- 8 size 11 beads
- 1 bugle bead
- 1 size 11 bead
- 1 4mm fire polished bead
- 1 size 11 bead
- 1 bugle bead
- 8 size 11 beads
- 8 size 15 beads
You will pick up this same pattern of beads for each loop of fringe.
5. Make the Loop
Pass back up through the 8x4mm roundelle, the 12mm fire polished bead, the size 11 bead, and the 10 beads originally picked up.
To get into position to add the next loop of fringe, pass back through the size 11 bead, the 12mm fire polished bead, and the 8x4mm roundelle.
6. Add Three More Loops
Repeat to add three more loops of fringe for a total of four loops.
Weave your thread back into the base of the earring and tie a few half-hitch knots. Trim thread close to the beadwork.
7. Add the Earring Finding
Using a chain nose or flat nose pliers, gently open the earring finding and add the finished earring.
