Use even-count tubular peyote stitch to create this undulating beaded rope. It gets its dramatic spiral from diagonal stripes of color in the pattern and its undulating shape from graduating sizes of beads.
Stitch it to your desired length for a bracelet or a necklace, and add the clasp of your choice.
Tip: If you keep relatively tight thread tension, this pattern creates a dense, structural rope. To better control tension, only stitch the first inch of the tube on a form or mandrel (I used a length of 2mm copper tubing). Stitch the rest of the rope without a form.
