Bejeweled Spiral Rope Tutorial

11. Stitch the Second End Loop

When you're ready to complete your rope, pick up 1B and 7A for the second end loop. Pass down through the B again, and pull the thread taut while positioning the end loop up against the end of your spiral rope.

It's a good idea to stitch through the entire end loop again to reinforce it. You can do this by stitching down through the last bead in the base strand, up through the last bead in the last spiral loop, and then all the way through the end loop one more time.

End the thread by weaving down through the base strand for at least a couple of inches, and then cutting the thread close to the beadwork.

13. Go Back and Reinforce the First End Loop

Go back to the end loop at the beginning of the rope, and use the thread tail to reinforce that loop. Then, weave-in to end that thread tail.

14. Attach a Clasp

If you have a pendant that still needs to be strung, slide it gently over your rope, inch by inch.

Use pliers to attach your choice of jump rings and end findings. I chose Vintaj dark brass findings: two 5mm jump rings, one 9mm figure-eight connector, and one 12mm lobster clasp.

Your necklace (or bracelet) is now complete!
