One huge follow up to her first book, making Volume One look like a magazine in comparison!
Loaded with information, this beadwork book covers a wide variety of beading techniques including Peyote stitch, beading applique, beaded netting, helix stitches, right angle weave, daisy chain beading and a extensive section dedicated to beaded loom work.
One warning - you may need a grab a magnifier to use some of the graphs and to read many of the tutorials. There is so much beadwork material here that a tiny font had to be used in some of the chapters. Beading with Seed Beads, Gem Stones and Cabochons Vol II contains loads of tutorials, many bead patterns, beading projects, photographs of finished beadwork and beading history. In fact, so much is covered in this big volume that it could easily have been a two-book set.
The tutorials are well written but some of the steps are a bit challenging to follow, owing to the black and white photography and small font. Many bead patterns and stitch tutorials are featured with graphs, as well as the photographs, and are thus easier to track. The patterns near the end of the book are far too small to use as they are, but could possibly be enlarged on a copy machine.
All in all, a terrific beadwork book from Sadie, covering a treasury of beading information.
