I call this lamp my "eyesaver"!

I have been using it for a while now, and I think it may be the single most important tool (other than beads) for your bead area. The bulbs in Ott-Lites were created by Dr. John Nash Ott for use in time lapse photography, while he was filming The Secrets of Life series for Walt Disney.

Now, these bulbs are being used in a variety of lamps for beaders. The "TrueColor" technology allows us to see bead colors correctly and easily, reducing eye strain and the neck, back and shoulder pain that can accompany it. The Ott-Lite Magnifier Task Lamp lighting cuts out glare, the tubes last almost forever, the lamp burns cool and lights a generous work are is smooth, gentle, crystal clear light. The reduction of glare and the clarity of the colors in your work will make beading in anything less than full daylight much more enjoyable and (other than for artistic issues) stress-free! The Ott-Lite Magnifier Task Lamp swivels 360 degrees and the magnifier stores inside the lamp, ready to fold out whenever you need it and magnifies to a perfect 200%.

This is a compact and lightweight lamp, and has a carry handle attached for portability so you can take it with you to beading events, shows, caves and to any room in the house. If you can only aquire one tool for your beading area, let that tool be the Ott-Lite Magnifier Task Lamp. You, your eyes and your beading will thank you!
