I love to learn new techniques, and I especialy love to learn how to make new types of beads. And I love it even more if I can learn how to make beads without having to spend a chunk of my bead budget for new equipment.

That's part of what makes this book so wonderful! Lisa shows us how to make wire beads with a mimimal layout of cash for supplies and tools. All you need is wire, dowels, wire cutters, pliers and a ruler; items which most of us already have. And with so many gorgeous new wire products out there, in so many different colors, you will be making some fantastic wire beads in no time! The book starts with definitions of types of wire, and goes on to a good discussion of the basic techniques. Also covered are methods for altering the appearance of the finish of the wire, and techniques for a professional looking bead.

The patterns for beads are varied and there are many covered here. The instructions are clear and well written. This is an excellent book for anyone wanting to explore a new bead making technique, and would be a great addition to any beadwork library!
