Hello and thank you all for joining me in welcoming Jeri Sax as our Spotlight Artist.
The first on-line book about beadwork that I knew of was written by Jeri, and is a lovely volume. Now, here's a little background information on this talented artist:
Jeri A. Sax & her husband Steve have been Jewelers for many years, specializing in Custom Jewelry, Lapidary Work (Stone Cutting), & Original Jewelry Design. Special design has always been their specialty, and beadwork has always been a special joy of Jeri’s.
By combining her years of experience with her creative design skills, she has created many one-of-a-kind Beadwork designs. While trying to combine her original stone carvings with beads she devised a method of holding stones, coins, etc. in a bezel made of only seed beads. Using no backing material or glues, the beauty of each piece can be enjoyed from both sides, never harming the gems that it holds.
Jeri resides in Central Wisconsin with her husband, Steve and their four children, Stephanie, Amy, Rachele, and Cameron (and their Clydesdale & Appaloosa horses and other assorted pets).
Here's my review of Jeri's book Patterns in the Spirit of Design, the Beaded Dreams of Double Woman.
