My name is Jeri Herrera. I am a single mom of 2, ages 18 and 6. While
working a full time job, I also run a bead business. Mostly I just love to bead! I have been doing this for 7 years. I have also done many other crafts, but have pretty much stopped doing everything else in my obsession with beads and beady things! I think there was a portion of my brain that was sleeping and came awake with a start at my first site of beads! Since then, I have been a lost cause, with beads in every room of the house, and the inability to go to places without finding out where every bead store in town is before leaving!
Recently, I had a bad day at work, and my 6 year old son came up and put his arm around me and asked me if I was unhappy. When I told him I had just had a rough day, he left the room, and came back with my
beading tray and bead case and told me to please bead something so that I would be happy!
With Christmas being my favorite holiday, I do a lot of hand beaded ornaments. Here in the Pacific Northwest, miniature trees that have been decorated are a very popular. This gave me the idea to bead miniature ornaments. So I took my knowledge of beading ornaments, and have spent the better part of this last year beading ornaments, 1 inch and smaller, to decorate a miniature tree. I have added or redone many of my ideas for large ornaments, as well as coming up with many ideas strictly for the miniature ornaments. This tree has 1 inch ornaments with bead covers, 1/2 inch ornaments, angel babies (for which I have provided instructions), beaded snowflakes, beaded garland and a
beaded skirt.
Hope you enjoy the tree! Have and wonderful and safe holiday season and remember:
Bead all that you can Bead!
