This beaded item was sent in by Melissa Wynne.
Hi. My name is Melissa Wynne and I am submitting my original design "The Scream". After designing it, I decided to take a chance and submit it to "Bead & Button" magazine. Imagine how excited I was when it was accepted and appeared in the April '99 issue! I was also extremely thrilled to see an interpretation of my pattern by Ann Schenk shown on Page 60 of the Readers Gallery. I usually wear it on payday as a silent protest of bill paying. Thank-you for your consideration.

This lush looking Fringe Necklace was beaded by Rebecca Nogy.
In looking at "your favorite necklace" and this weeks submission by Holly Wright, I think I finally have a good tip to share on how to make a great necklace a little better. I do a lot of beaded fringe (visit Rebecca's Gallery and you'll know that I am a fringe freak). I start by stringing the neck strand on light or medium weight soft-flex. This makes my necklace super sturdy, makes the beads line up better (straighter, more evenly) on the strand and gives the whole necklace a better shape. I use crimp tubes to fasten the soft-flex at the findings and use Nymo to do the fringe.

Thisversion of the African Net Necklace comes from Betty John.
This photo is of the African Net Necklace that you had on your site. It took some time to make, but the finished piece turned out beautiful. I made it with size 11 Miyuki Glass seed beads in 2 shades of dusty rose (one matte finish and a silver lined) and cream beads. Its was so nice that everyone is asking me to make them one.

This Beaded Angel was created by Chris Philips.
My pattern is entitled "Yes, Virginia, Angels Wear Jewelry." It started as an amulet bag of just her head and shoulders. One day it just seemed right to do the "whole angel", then I added the border and framed her on blue velvet matting. She was my entry this year to the Illinois State Fair. Everyone needs an angel!

This beautiful beadwork was submitted by Alan GreyOwl.
Hi, I recently got married. I am Cheyenne and my wife is Nez Perce. I did all the beadwork for the wedding, and she made the clothing. The first jpq is of my beaded moccasins. on the front is an eagle, on both sides are medicine wheels and on the back are white buffalos. The next jpg is a three strand beaded peyote stitch choker, with matching abalone shell hair ties for her braids, and matching porcupine quill earrings. The third jpq is of our matching headbands, done on the loom and sewn onto buckskin.

This beaded box was created by Katherine Kiesel.
A small beaded box done in square stitch in size 11 white matted beads....fringe done in size 14 with glass decorative beads..
