These next two beaded pieces were sent in by Pat Gibson.
Here is a new embellishment treatment I have started to use with Elaine Popelke sitting mermaids and what I did with one of her swimming ones... can't claim all originality as Pat Savu used drop beads in her beached seal pattern and that was what gave me the idea.... anyway I was looking for some way to add some contrast around the little sitting mermaids tail when I realized that I could sit her on the mother of pearl piece and add the shells and drop beads to make it look like she was resting...

same thing with the swimming mermaid... she is surrounded now with not only the foam of the bracelet but also coming into shore on a wave of bubbles and stirred up sea shells.

This choker was created by beader Chris Simon.
This choker was made using the instructions in your Square Stitch Tube Necklace article. I used transparent green, opaque cobalt blue, and color-lined light purple. Each color section is three rows wide. In between those colors, I used a shiny silver, alternating one-row- and two-row-wide sections. The square stitch method in the article really goes pretty fast.

This Beaded Goddess piece came from Alois M. Powers.
I haven't contributed anything for the gallery in a while, so here's something you may wish to put up. Joanne Hite (fellow beader) taught this class last year at Dianne Fitzgerald's shop Beautiful Beads. She is approximately 5 1/4 inches high and 3 3/4 inches wide across the arm spread. She is beaded on leather and stuffed with polyester filling. The chain is embellished RAW. We had a blast in this class. I hope I will do as well as Joanne when I teach it a Cathy Collison's shop (Glass Gardens) in Northfield next week. Wish me luck!
