This bead pattern was inspired by an interesting item and was beaded by Chris Ann Philips.
I was inspired by a dress I saw in a play! You can read the short story about it on the website. You just never know where inspiration may come from.

This is a difficult pattern to follow, so I've provided the pattern in shades of gray and suggested that you color in only 1-2 rows at a time with your selected colors to make it easier to follow. I've viewed it in so many color combos and it's absolutely amazing how different it looks each time!

This Freeform Beadwork was sent in by Sharon Lawrence.
I am am attaching a picture of the freeform bracelet that I finished last night. I have only just discovered how to do the peyote stitch. This is the first article that I have finished. It took me about 3 hours to finish. I may try to make a necklace to match.

This beaded bag was stitched by Bobbinney Callender.
My name is Bobbinney Callender, this was my first attempt at designing my own bead work. Using 11/0 seed beads #5 gun metal bugles, and metallic hex beads and a combination of peyote, lace, and square weaving. The rose is dimensional. Finished with 4" of fringe and lined with black velvet embossed black satin. It took 3 mos. to complete.

The following Medicine Bag was beaded by LadyNorth.
My first medicine bag was for my Ritual Brother Bill who lived in Alaska at the time. I found a jpg of a wolf's pawprint in the snow and blew it up to use the pixels as squares. It doesn't show very well in the scan, but I wanted to give the feeling of ice, fire and snow. The back depicts the four Medicine Wheel colours in the colours of Humankind, and the four directions with 'ice' pawprints inbetween.

I used the same idea for Beth, my brother's wife and incorporated the wolf design in her bag along with somethng women all share - the Moon. On the front is Maid, Mother, Crone (New Moon, Full Moon, Waxing Moon); The back is the four quarters of the Moon's passage along with wolf pawprints ending with a WolfMoon on the flap.

I learned a lot from the first bag and it is full of lumps and bumps but I still think it turned it out well, despite my not knowing what I was doing! Btw..all these designs were done on Beadesigner.
