| This piece, beaded in the African Net stitch, was created by Becka Barker. |
A while back I was working on a choker using the African Net, lost my
place, and added another row.......*VBG* This opened the door to lots of
other possibilities! I did several penny pouches by doing two "leaves"
with two extra rows each and square stitched the two sides together.
I'm sending you a picture of my favorite one, I call it Majesty.
Also, by adding more rows, I got the base for a handflower too!
One more thing...also finally finished one of those lace collars...I've
gotten hooked on the ab clear and sl red combo.
| This beaded Native American regalia was made by Martin Ashley of K & Creations. |

Came across the Beadwork page on About.com and thought I would send you a picture of the kind of beadwork my husband does. I have sent you a picture of a pair of beaded leggings on braintanned buckskin. The beading is done in lazystitch [lane stitch]and is done on braintanned buckskin. He used size 12 czech seedbeads. The leggings are part of a matching set that included mocs, knifecase and strike-a-lite. My husband is a enrolled tribal member of the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes on the Flathead Reservation in Montana.
