Our first entry on this page comes from Linda Markwald.
Here is an amulet purse done in tubular peyote stitch that I am particularly proud of. The front and back show images of the two labs owned by my best friend, Bonnie. I made this for her as a present. The fringe is supposed to represent a lush forest scene: Done with several shades of green, there are many beaded leaves, along with 2 shades of green glass leaves. I searched for a proverb about dogs and beaded it into the strap. The patterns of both dogs were generously done for me from actual photos by Dona Anderson - a true artist and wonderful person! I also want to thank Suzanne Cooper, since her strap pattern in "Lemonade" inspired me to try my hand at doing the beaded proverb! (40k)

The center is an Amazonite donut that I created a unbacked beaded bezel with "straps" through the center. Then attached some short fringe to the straps at the center and other embellishments like one I saw in Bead & Button last year. The necklace is a spiral rope. Although it looks like two different spirals, they are the same except that the lower portion has a pearl on each loop. (24k)

MarLin Beads created these covered rings and created a peyote core (can be seen in gallery 48) called "Rings of Saturn". Here is another great use for the rings, make several and hang them on a chain of your choice. One of the rings becomes the toggle for this double spiral necklace. (62k)
