Our first entry this week was sent in by Caroline Bleil.
This one is my first original [dutch spiral] effort , and turned out much nicer than I expected it would. I used a bloodstone cab and 4 different size 11 seed beads in colors that I found within the stone, some nearly imperceptible. The accent beads are bronze teardrops that are placed on every other row. It was a hit with the members of my bead club, and they've asked me to teach it to them. (41k)

This piece was sent in by Marcia of MarLin Beads.
This piece is called collared elegance. It is a very supple freeform peyote stitch collar. I used lots of folds in the peyote fabric to create textural interest. My bead partner, Linda and myself (Marcia) of MarLin Beads co-design a lot of the pieces that we teach. (16k)

These two entries were sent in by Glenda Stubblefield AKA "Snoop".
The first one is a 'forget me not' necklace. The pieces started out to be earrings, instead I thought would make a nice necklace. The forget-me-not is the Alaska state flower. (19k)
The 'Horse Head' barrett, I made for my daughter. It is bead embroidery. I got the pattern out of the'Beads to Buckskins' books. (36k)

This entry came from Laurie Hausmann.
This is a show bridle that I beaded for my horse, Skeeter. It is done in tubular peyote stitch. It was the first major project that I attempted after I'd been beading only about 3 months. It's gotten a lot of attention! (36k)
