The first piece on this page comes from Glenn Hixson.
I would like to share one of my beaded vessel's with you. I took the Garden Urn class taught by Cynthia Rutledge in Phoenix this past October and this is one of the Urns that I made. It is beaded out of 22K gold delica beads and embellished with gold washed Bali silver and size 14 beads and fresh water pearls to make the floral rope. (24k)

I really like the Herringbone stitch, so I took your bag that was in the Oct Jewelry Crafts, and changed the colors, and when I stitched it, it had an Egyptian Revival feel to me so I put the Gold Scarabs on the strap. Well, the strap is also the Ndbele stitch, I tried the 6 bead one you have on the site, and it was too heavy for the bag, so then I tried 4 beads, then I figured out how to put a twist in it. It really looks like a gold link strap. (10k)

The green and white pin (my first project) began life as half of a pair of earrings which I couldn't wear after I got my second earhole and little diamond studs (which never come off), so I converted it. The cameo "orchid" and earrings were the next project and put me in bifocals. Took about three years off from beads, then decided I'd rather be blind than beadless. (41k)
The little amulet bag was my first loomwork using wonderful transparent and matte blues and bright and antique bronze which I got from Anne Broderick (AB Artglass and Beads). I also used Anne's bargello pattern which doesn't show in the scan because of the two kinds of blue beads (the red in the scan does not exist -just couldn't get it out). Am now beading in bifocals with a 2x visor and a swing-arm magnifying light. What we won't do... (27k)

This entry came from Starr Backen.
I have just completed this piece which I personally designed and made. I thought you may want to put it in the gallery. (19k)
