I recently made this beaded collar to change a 'Plain Jane' dress into one more a wee bit more classy for work. I changed the directions for the african net necklace to make this collar treatment. (45k)

Did you ever do potholders for Christmas in gradeschool? This is the same technique. I make them on a loom that my son made me. I make them twice as wide as i want them and then fold them in half and sew up the side and bottom, add a strap and bead the heck out of it. I have made several with different themes; Ocean, Jungle, Garden and working on a great button one now. I have been beading about 9 years and love it. Here is a link to my Website if you are interested in seeing some other things and kits that I do. (65k)

Judy sent me this picture of the freeform bracelet she's been working on and I asked her if she would let me put in in the gallery 'cause I think it's awesome. :-) See more of her work at Beading Around the Bush. (25k)
This one came from Becka Barker AKA "Waya".
I finaly got a picture of a beaded bottle I made as a wedding present for my sister back in Feb. I call it "In the Garden". Kinda a funny story behind it. I had a wine bottle left over from New Years Eve, lots of trans green beads (put two and two together) and "Bingo!" a pretty oil lamp for my sister with little $$$ involved. Well . . . The bottle looked pretty plain so I had to get stuff to add to it. More beads for the vine, butterfly/daisy/cupid charms to mix with the fringe, tiger eye chips for the "trunk" at the base and as an anchor vine for the fringe . . . So much for a "cheap" present. lol

The body was done in RAW and the vine is lots (and lots and *lots*) of bramble fringe. My first *big* project of '98. I'm trying to figure out how to out do it in '99. (39k)

I designed what we call the "step-down" choker a couple of years ago. The top choker is mine, done in size 11 Czech seed beads...the choker below was made by my sister, using size 15 Japanese hex beads. (21k)
