This next entry comes from Deborah A. Martin.

This is one of the Christmas necklaces I have done. it measures 2" across and about 32" around. I use regular old seed beads and the santa buttons are ceramic. I loom the entire pattern, then I take the work off my wooden loom and proceed to untie each knot to form the drop beads. The santa buttons are put on then. I so enjoy doing loom work and have done many necklaces and beaded pictures. (14k)

Two photos of a christmas present I made for one of my husband's friends. I call it Titanic Chandelier. I am making three of these Titanic amulet pouches, each slightly different. I am keeping one of them. This one is the first I've finished. The strap is made of aurora borealis crystal and silver foil lamp beads with a little rose in the center. The fringe is spiral with Miyuki drops to simulate a wave with foam. The Titanic image is in tubular brick stitch with 11/0 seed beads. This image was on the box the Titanic video came in and I took a digital picture of it and used it as a background picture in Beadscape and beaded over it. the 3-d effect is due to two layers of beads on the ship's bow and fretting with white beads for the wave the boat is making by going through the water. I love those French pumpkin beads used on the smokestacks; they really look that color. (58k)

This one is Titanic Rose version. It is the same basic pattern from Titanic Chandelier, but was worked up differently. This one features jet (Like on the bottom of that dress Rose was wearing when she was thinking of flinging herself off the ship at the beginning of the movie), and jet 9/0 3-cuts. The larger feature beads at the bottom of the strap are roses for Rose in the movie; They were hand made by JM Design. The basic amulet pouch is in 11/0 seed beads in tubular brick stitch. While the front of the amulet pouch features the Titanic during the day, the back features the Iceberg at night, peacefully floating in a black glass sea ("no wind to make waves to show up them 'bergs"). The bottom is decorated with spiral fringe and Miyuki tiny drops to simulate waves and frothy foam. (66k)

This is a necklace I made a few days ago with #148 Delicas. The trunk is two of #115, the top is a star-shaped loop of silver-lined 14's. (16k)

I have finished the amulet bag, but decided to do the spiral for a bracelet instead. I think that it turned out really well. The only thing I forgot to do is get extra round marcasite beads to make matching earings. Will find them in my wanderings.

Now I just need to win the lotto in order to have time for all my beading, art glass, woodworking, and craft projects. (32k)

The woman in this hanging didn't look quite so well stacked when I graphed her, but sometimes the graph and the finished products differ a bit. I call her "Mother". She is made with mostly Dynamite seed beads and whatever else I thought would look nice. My husband was going to use the stick as a perch for one of his carved birds, but I needed it before he got the bird carved, so he graciously let me use it. (33k)
