Our first item this week comes from Elaine Mills.

Elaine sent me this lovely necklace via our mutual friend Opal as a birthday gift. It's a BIG chunk of amethyst netted with what looks like waxed linen and fringed with purple druks, crystals, and other glass shapes as well as chunks of what appears to be purple(!) gold stone. Beautiful! Thank you Elaine! (14k)

This next pic was sent in by Judy Fearn, AKA "Beadme".
This is Judy's rendition of the Russian necklace featured in Bead & Button recently. Great colors! (25k)
This next set of pics were sent in by Rebecca R. Starry. The pictures are of beadwork by Delores Sloan.

"I thought I'd share a few pictures from the October bead retreat with the Alaska Bead Society. We were fortunate enough to have well-known Athabascan bead artist, Delores Sloan, visit with us again. She brought four (4) beautiful baby belts with her to show."

"The pictures were taken near Big Lake, Alaska at Little Beaver Camp where the Alaska Bead Society has been holding its bead retreats."

"The three of the baby belts were embroidered on tanned moose hide, the fourth [second here] was done on black velveteen fabric. They are a sling that wraps around the shoulders and back and ties in front that holds the baby on the mothers back." (76k)(50k)(54k)(57k)

This next piece and pattern is by Pat Savu.
I'm attaching a photo of an earring I made in charlottes with a kinky fringe snow storm at the bottom. It occurred to me that if it were worked with larger beads, it might make a nice but small Christmas ornament. The hook for the ornament could go through the loop at the top where the finding was attached. In the chart I only showed two of the kinky fringes so that it could be read. (47k)
This piece was sent in by Maya Lesovsky for her sister Tana.
Here's a sample of my sister's work. The frame is handwrought brass and the beads are semi-precious gemstones.

If you look at the center (the one with the big star) you will find a person. My sister calls them Dancers. Cuz they look like they are dancing. (24k)
This next pic was sent in by Sally Morgan.
I made this from Jeanette Shanigan's Beaded Holiday Earrings and I made it as a necklace and have my old turkey earrings to wear with him. Thought it might give your beaders an enthusiasm for Nov and not rush into Christmas so fast. I start wearing mine the first day of month. (33k)
