Our first two pieces this week come from Anne Checker.

VSPACE=10 >
My second loom piece, made for my mom. She collects turtles, so I thought a fish scene including a turtle would be a cute present. I designed the whole thing myself! It is made with Dnya-Mytes. (47k)

I took a class and learned the technique, and then I adapted it to even count and designed my own people. "Goozie" is my sister, she always wears overalls and is carrying my black cat, Darryl. "Count Vladimir" is a vampire, of course! I found the cream colored beads and thought that they would be perfect for the pale flesh of the "undead." "Drusilla" is a herb witch. She is all dressed up for the harvest festival, complete with flowers in her hair and a basket full of flowers. (She also has green underwear, which my little cousins and niece find QUITE amusing!) (60k)

These two entries were sent in by Tracy Whitney.
It's 2-sided, so there are 2 scans (front & back). The "fringe fish" are borrowed from a Deon DeLange book (Techniques of Beaded Earrings, I think). I finished the bag 2 days before your dolphin pattern with the other fringe fish went up! You may also recognize the strap (I hope so anyway!) from Seahorse Love. (80k)
The first bag I designed from scratch using the bead design program called BeadPlan. It was a gift for my son's fiancee, whose role-playing game character is a gypsy. I used gilt-line Japanese seeds, and a little bit of everything in the fringe and strap! (35k)
This next piece is by Robley A. Brown.
I tried your herringbone chain. Enjoy working it very much. I've taken it a step further. I like to mount tumbled stones in beads, so I work the chain for a while (length dependent on what I want), and then make a net to enclose the stone. When I close the net, I continue with the chain. It makes an unusual piece. (9k)
This next piece is by Alesha Younkin.
This is a scan of a bag that was made using your "Mesh Bag in Right Angle Weave". At the time i saw this pattern i was in need of a little "balance" in my hectic life and what a perfect place to display such a strong symbol! (and what a perfect time to try a little right angle weave!!) I made it a little simple so that i can wear it everyday.....as it should be! (44k)
