Our first two pieces this week come from Caroline Bleil> AKA "Beadfreak."

It's called the "Many Loops Necklace" and was designed by a friend of mine in Santa Fe, Clara Witt. It's Clara's interpretation of a necklace that another friend also named Clara showed her. It was made by a German prisoner-of-war during WWII. The earrings are made from the pattern by Ella Johnson-Bentley in the magazine Bead & Button. I used a mix of about 15 different colors of size 11 seed beads. (29k)

These "Pin Pockets" were made from Janice Yankee's Lace Purse pattern from Bead & Button Magazine, but with size 14 beads rather than the 11's. I also used the teeny-weeny teardrops instead of the oat-shaped beads for fringe. On the dark blue one I used charlottes, and although the one facet on each bead gave it more sparkle than the seeds beads do, they were very difficult to work with because the holes are so tiny. I had a hard time getting the needle through more than 3 times when filling in the center and had to improvise instead. They took less time than the purse because I didn't have to do a strap. I got the pin bars from Rio Grande. (96k)

The following entries were sent in by Elena Tompkins AKA "Beadesignr."
I use mostly 14's, both Japanese & Czech and they are all original patterns. The Moonstone bag is made with Czech cuts, Japanese beads (all 14's), a moonstone cabochon, Swarovski crystals and faceted amethysts. Inspiration comes in floods when I'm feeling manic.... (80k)
These next few pieces are by Jennifer Holloman of Nashville, TN.
These are some beaded amulet purses I did over the past year. "Night Life", "Tree of Life", "Maui Evening" are all Katherine Harris Designs. "Bag of Daisies" is a pattern I got from "Focus on the Beads" site. I really enjoyed doing these. (90k)

I learned single needle right angle weave from your site and made this for my 7 year old son, I just barely got it back long enough to take this picture!!! He loves Winnie the Pooh. Also, here's the piece that inspired it, a necklace he LOVED! (13k)
