Beadwork Book Review
Let's Face It by Dona Anderson
Bead Patterns in Peyote Stitch
And a Fundraiser For a Good Cause

Let's Face It
Dona Anderson, 2000
Buckaroo Press
8 1/2 X 11 paperbound
34 pages, color photos and graphs

This would be a delightful book in it's own right, but in addition to being a terrific bead pattern book, it is also for a good cause. For each copy sold, $1.00 will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Dona is the first bead artist I've heard of doing this type of fundraising and I think she should be applauded.

This fun Peyote stitch book contains 15 graphs for Peyote stitch bags, rendered by different bead artists. They depict mostly women; from Carmen Miranda to Elizabeth Taylor with Scarlet O'Hara and my favorite, Mae West, too. There are also images of women garbed to represent the four seasons of the year, along with other lovely Peyote stitch bead graphs.

If you are a beginner, please know that this is not meant to be a "teaching" book, rather, it is a collection of Peyote stitch bead graphs for those beaders who are familiar with Peyote stitch. Each page has a different graph as well as a color photo of the finished product and a Delica bead color legend.

Order a copy today. If you are a woman, enjoy Peyote stitch or are any combination of the two, I think you will enjoy this beadwork book.
