This entry for the "Good Enough to Eat" Challenge come from Cecelia aka Inkchick. She says "I made these Sushi Hairsticks this year to wear to our monthly sushi eat-a-thons! They were inspired by the Beadwork Winter 1999 article by Jillian Moreno. I constructed mine using most of her instructions and some small changes of my own. I used my own special matte silver chopsticks for the project. The beads used are freshwater pearls in two sizes for the 'rice' and Delica beads for the rest of the 'fish' and 'veggies'. The iris green Delicas that I used for the seaweed wrap were absolutely perfect! I'm not sure why, but I actually had the right shade of Wasabi Green in my bead stash. The sticks are a tad heavy to wear often but I love the look on everyone's face when they see them and the sushi chefs go nuts over them when we out to eat.
Another entry in the "Good Enough to Eat" comes from Cheryl Johnson. Take a look at this gorgeous bracelet, about which Cheryl says: "I adapted the strawberries from a cross stitch pattern I found, and the bracelet is done in 3-bead netting. I put three beads between the "points" on the sides to give it the "ruffled" edge. It's kind of funky, but it was a lot of fun to make!
This entry, for the Lizardly Challenge, is an adorable bracelet, and it's creator, Denise May says this about it: "Actually they're salamanders and dragonflies. I finished this a couple of weeks before your challenge. The bracelet is made from Delicas using square stitch".
These two entries also come from Cheryl Johnson, who has this to say: "The pattern is from Beaded Obsessions by the Bead Gang. It was worked in Brick stitch using 15/o seed beads. It's a good thing I just got new glasses! I also made the strap so that it can be worn separately as a necklace".
This entry, for the Flower Power challenge is just gorgeous! From Pearl Ostroff.
