This is a wonderful book of winged things!! Well, not all winged things, but butterflies and fairies, anyway. And here's where to find the prettiest Monarch Butterfly pattern! Rita teaches the basic brick stitch and for these pretty designs. The book starts with the basic Fairy Body and goes into the patterns for the basic wing and then to the many variations of the body. After that, we get the Butterfly patterns, and those variations. Rita goes into a pattern for making a Monarch necklace, and at the end of the books offers an excellent tutorial on Brick Stitch, including increase and decreases. Also discussed are methods for attaching fringe and finding to make these designs wearable.
While a little costly for the content, I can understand that, as Rita self publishes, and that is not an inexpensive undertaking. The books are well written and nicely printed. The graphs are very readable and well designed. I recommend it for any beader interested in the winged things!
