Hello everyone,
I'm originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, born and raised -- even met my husband and had my son there. I have resided in northern California for the past 23 years, a medium sized town called Redding, about 230 miles north of the Bay Area.
I first became interested in beading about 10 years ago, just stumbled on it after years of drawing, oil painting and my second favorite craft, crocheting. I started off with a little pair of brick stitch earrings and kind of expanded from there, never venturing far from my first and favorite stitch!
Publishing was never on my mind in the beginning. But with so many new
patterns accumulating, it got to the point I couldn't ignore it any longer. My first two books were published in 1994 and 1995, both on earrings. My next two books were my real joys, these I self published in 1996 and 1998. Their main topic was amulet purses, with a few other ideas thrown in to help round them out.
I am currently working on new designs, but at this point a new books is still quite some distance away.
