Beaded Adornment Jeanette Shanigan 1998
Krause Publications

8 1/2 X 11, Paperback, 128 pages, color photos, color graphs. $19.95, ISBN#0-87341-585-X

This is one of the most beautiful beadwork books there is.

I consider this one a classic. The techniques covered are Back Stitch, Brick Stitch, Netting, Peyote, Edge Beading, and Split Loom. The Edge Beading (for Cabochons) and Netting sections are worth the price alone! The instructions are crystal clear and very well written. The graphs are perfect and the photography is superb.

The patterns in this book are absolutely lucious! Among my favorites are all of the cabochons, the Wildflowers, the Feathers Galore Striped Amulet bag and the Bugle Collar Set.

The layout of this book makes it very easy to read, and to follow. While an outstanding volume for the beginner, it also contains much in the way of technique subtleties for the more advanced beader, too.

If this one is not in your beading library, it should be!
