For the first volume in a series, this is a wonderful start! It is primarily geared towards beading closed-back cabochons and the instructions are clear and concise.We start out learning how to back the cabochon, using a very unique method that will prove to be extra sturdy and hold up very well. This backing technique is outlined in detail, using text and illustrations.
The book is filled with Helpful Hints, and lots of wonderful edging patterns. There are many variations on the edging stitch, such as the 3-D Edge, the Scalloped Edge, the Triangle Edge and much more! The fringe on Pattern E is worth the price of the book, to me! Yum!
Be sure to add this one to your beadwork library, and you will be happy with your beaded cabochons for a long time to come!
