Resin Beads
The Natural Touch company has hit upon a winner with these beads. Done in a lovely satiny-matte finish, and light enough that you can wear a substantial number of them, they are made for more than just jewelry.  I have seen some amazing wire wrapping with these beads, as well as embellishment using polymer clay with them.

Judith Tomsky, the importer of Natural Touch Resin Beads has this to say about them:

Resin , it’s really the first time since Bakelite that there is a plastic like  product line that is so lightweight, colorful and goes so well with other materials.

What is also special about these new Resin beads, is their smooth satin matte finish. The beads are seamless, with hole sizes varying from 1mm – 2,3 mm. The resin beads fit on wire, can be strung on a multitude of stringing materials from elastic to cords.

Admiring artists new to the “bead” world are incorporating these resin beads into sculptures, mobiles, mosaics, wearable art  and children's toys. Polymer artists are inspired to create new palettes that blend  with these resin beads, and seed bead artists are excited to have new accent beads. The resin is giving them ways to expand the size of the piece, and embellish with netting and other techniques. The sky is the limit!

The resin is non-toxic, color steady, lightweight, and doesn’t break. The beads have a glassy look to them, but they feel so much better and can match up to such a variety of glass colors. Hence they blend well with seed beads, Czech glass, and Austrian crystal and lampwork or fire polished beads. They are affordable to all end users. And  the color spectrum is a broad rainbow. There are over 35 shades and constantly expanding. The beads are made by cottage industry, and reflect the experienced “hands on” craftsmanship.

And I agree with Judith!  These beads have a delightful "hand" to them, and are a joy to work with. Try some today, I think you'll agree - these are a bunch of new fun!
