| Fast and Festive Beadwork Challenge | |
|
This Beadwork Challenge is sponsored Sandi Graves at Stormcloud Trading (Beadstorm) a delightful, helpful and fully stocked on-line bead store. First prize for this six-week Challenge is a $50.00 Gift Certificate to Beadstorm.
And since we are right in the middle of the Holiday season, I would like to keep this simple and fun. The theme is Fast and Festive. Please submit a JPEG picture of something festive that can be made in an evening or afternoon. The Holidays are here, and as much as we beaders would like to decorate our entire homes with beautiful beaded projects, we may start finding that time is limited.
So remember the main keys: FAST and FESTIVE. Your entries may be anything with beads in the composition; seed beads or larger beads. It may be jewelry, home decorations, sculpture or ornaments. The only requirements are that it must be able to have been made in an evening and it must contain beads.
Entries may be either your own original designs or those from
published materials, as long as you have the permission of the original designer. One entry per person, contest void where prohibited.
Send your entries to me at Beadwork.Guide@About.com, and be
sure to list "Winter Challenge Entry" in the subject box. I will let you know
that I have received your entry, and if there are any problems viewing it. Please include your full name (real name) and a screen name if you
prefer to be identified as such, and your e-mail address.
Additional rules: The submission must be a JPEG format picture of the
piece. You may send 2 pictures, such as a front & back, or two separate views, but pictures may be no larger than 500 X 500 pixels.
DO NOT SEND Zip files or anything that must be opened to view the piece. In light of the recent
e-mail virus problems, any entries sent in any format other than JPEG will be returned to the entrant,
unopened.
The contest will run from November 19, 2001 through
December 31, 2001 at midnight PST. The winner will be announced in mid January,
2002. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to e-mail me at beadwork.guide@about.com. Have fun!
