Make One or a Pair of These Lovely 3-D Beaded Pansies

These pretty beaded pansies can be used as embellishments on the front or flap of an amulet bag, as button or drop style earrings, as a pendant on a necklace or woven into a freeform-style beaded necklace or bracelet.

To make them, you will need two colors of size 11 seed beads and a working knowledge of Brick Stitch. The Beaded Pansies shown were made with used Delicas in Metallic Fuchsia and Silver Lined Purple. Both of these colors are subject to wear and fading, so, while they are beautiful, they are not highly recommended. They do look nice though and a little spritz of clear protectant spray such as Krylon will help keep them looking nice longer. They will last longer if they are worn gently and not subjected to abrasions. Use different colors if you prefer a longer-lasting beaded pansy.
