African American Beaders This group is open to anyone, but primarily geared toward the African American beader. Discussions include shows, collecting, making and many other beady topics. No archive of messages is kept. Currently has 47 members. Alaskan Beaders An email group for beaders in Alaska, with information on local doings, shows, sales and other Alaskan Bead matters. Join up now, so that you don't miss anything! Bead Castle Primary focus on obtaing beads and sharing pattern ideas. Looks to be a friendly, on-topic group, with lots of helpful advice. Bead Frenzy Very small group, fairy new. This list will focus on sharing patterns, tips, projects and other beady things. Message archives open to members only. Bead Hell This is not a group for the brand-new Email Group user! Founded in June 2000, this is a no-holds-barred list for discussion of controversial matters that come up on other groups. Most groups prefer not to have heated debates, and may occasionally ask members to take such debates to BeadHell. Posts are a bit sporatic, heavier when a new controvesy arises, but generaly pretty manageable. Bead List Founded in August of 1998, this is another small list. Posts seem to run to finished work sales tips and advise from a variety of sources. This would be an excellent list for those beaders who are just starting to sell their finished items. Not a lot of personal chat, but a great deal of professionalism. List archives are open to the public. Bead Society of Great Britain Home page for the Bead Society of Great Britain, with lots of information regarding the Society, including e-mail contacts. Bead Society of Greater Kansas City A big and beautiful site, packed full of great beady information. Meeting schedules, a map, a calendar and a membership roster, as well as announcements, a Gallery and a bullitin board! Bead Society of Greater New York A beautiful site, with links and a Gallery from their Juried show in 1999, as well as membershi information and a meeting schedule. Be sure to turn the music off right away if your computer has a slower processor, as it can cause those systems to slow down. Bead Society of New Hampshire E-mail group for the Bead Society of New Hampshire. Meeting schedules as well as tips, techniques and other goodies are available on this group. Bead Swap Got beads you no longer want? Need beads another beader mioght have? This is a list created especially for that! Swaps are arraged privately, and the list is not responsible for any swap arragements. Join this if you have some stuff to get rid of, you may find just what you've been looking for! Bead Talk This group is available through Quiltropolis, and is a large, off and on topic bead chat group. Over 1200 members at last count, so be prepared for the volume of mail! This is an excellent list - some off topic chat, lots of beading chat and a very helpful group. Beadazzled A charming, large group (over 900 members as of 3/2004) with lots of topical and some off-topic posting. Messages are archived, but only open to members. Loads of good information, but this list will generate a lot of mail, so be prepared! Beaded Flowers E-mail group for those interested in making beaded flowers. Patterns and technique ideas as well as resources are shared on this group. Beadful Things A group for lampworkers. Discussions mainly focus on how to make a better bead. Subjects such as where to get the best glass, what kind of glass to use, cane making, glass blowing, safety techniques, you name it! If you have any interest in making lampworked beads, this is your list! Beads in Fashion Dedicated to the discussion of bead designs in fashion. Items such as new choker designs, bracelets, clothing embellishment, etc. are the primary topics. Very large list, with a very fast pace. This list has an archive for members. With over 1000 members, be prepared for a LOT of mail! Beadscape Lovers A group for those of you who either use now or want to use the bead pattern program Beadscape. Lots of information exchange and help. Nice group of beaders, too. Beadshop Not a discussion list, but an advertising list. If you are looking for bargains, want to check auctions or just want to see what's on sale, check this out! A manageable number of emails are generated, and the list is archived for the public, too. Beadsnthread Friendly group of beaders and stitchers. Lots of great information, nice group of people. Beadworkers Guild of the UK Home page with loads of information on the Beadworkers Guild. This Guild is based in the UK but is a worldwide organization, whose motto is "Bringing Beadworkers Together". Take a look around this well organized, fun site - and join them! You'll get to know beaders from all over the world! BeadzOnLine A group for people who sell finished work online, via auctions, websites or other means. Focus is on discussion of selling products, and other realted topics. Buyers are welcome, as is anyone interested in the subject. Archives are for memebers only, which now total 83! This list has been online since August 1999! British Beaders Great group of people from Britain. Exchange ideas and resources in the UK, and makes some new friends.
