Guide Review - Baubles, Buttons and Beads The Heritage of Bohemia (Sibylle Jargstorf)

Beginning with a comprehensive history of glass working in the Gablonz region of what was Bohemia (now Germany/Czechoslovakia) with many wonderful photographs charting the history of jewelry, glass and bead making in that region.

Techniques such as engraving, composition of glass, press molding, lampworking, metalwork and button making are discussed. This book contains a wealth of information for the collector and for the casual bead/glass lover.

Included is a price guide - great for getting an idea as to value of vintage beads and glass. I'm not a collector, but I find it useful when I'm looking to buy beads or components from the Gablonz region. If you enjoy vintage glass, you'll want to own this book!
