When making beaded fringe for a beadwork amulet bag or other beaded item, wrap the completed fringe pieces in a small sheet of gift-wrap type tissue paper as you work.
When starting a beaded fringe area, pre-cut a few small sheets (approx. 5" X 5" or smaller, depending on the size of the fringe). You'll want the tissue to overlap the fringe pieces and be about 2 inches longer than your fringe.
As you complete pieces of fringe, lay them on your piece of tissue paper. Fold the tissue over the fringe and give it a twist at the bottom, below the end of the fringe pieces. This will hold the fringe out of your way and keep the completed pieces from getting tangled up in your working thread. Fewer tangles always make for happier beaders; happier beaders make lots more beaded projects. It's a win-win beading situation!
