New Earring Tutorials, and More on the Way!

Follow me on:

So, I don't know what's out of control: my life, or my earring creation! I'm still a few days behind on making my beaded earrings, but so far, I'm pretty happy with the number of projects that I've finished.

That said, I have two new free earring tutorials up on the site this evening! The first is for a pair of very dramatic, metallic orange and blue Dragon Lady Earrings. For these earrings, I combined two of my favorite colors, and used some really funky vintage glass beads that I got from The Beadin' Path many, many years ago! Even if you've never done herringbone stitch before, this is a great, easy project to get you started, with very funky results.

The second pair I've called the Flamenco Earrings, because the bright colors and swish of the fringe remind me of, well, Flamenco dancers! I used some very bright, cheery silver-lined orange Toho triangle beads for this pair, along with some bright red bugle beads and Delica beads. I don't know, maybe all of this snow and cold up here in the mountains is starting to get to me this winter... I used ladder stitch, square stitch and fringe to make these beauties. And don't you know - they just happen to match my favorite red sweater!

I have one more pair ready to go, but won't be able to finish the directions until tomorrow. But I'm going to tease you, anyway, with the picture:

There's a great story behind these earrings, but you'll just have to wait until I get the directions up to find out what it is!

How are you doing on your earrings?
